July, 1O, 2000: The suns blistering hot rays beam on the shore of Kinikia that hot summer day.  A beautiful young girl walks into a small Tiki bank. “Aloha Lola” She kisses a husky tan man on the cheek. “Aloha makuakane” She smiles and hands him a lunch bag. “How’s the bank going to day pop?” Looking around. He pulls by his side a tall skinny Boy with Dark features. “Wow she’s beautiful” he thought. They stared each other up and down. “Lani this is Damian the new teller. Moved here all the way from Pas De Cheval” He hugged Damian tight and he twitched.
She giggled “Hai” Damian’s face became pail and her father walked into his office. “Uh hai” Damian gave a little smile. “You don’t have much of a tan do you?” She asked staring at his white skin. He gave a nervous laugh. “Don’t worry that’ll change after a week here. I’m Lolani” She stuck her hand out. His eyes opened wide. “I know who you are we’ve met before” He said picturing that day back at his first job. She looked at him funny. “Really I don’t….” he cut her off “In Verell but we were only like 10” she laughed “Wow you remember that?” He stared into her eyes “Well who could forget a beautiful name like Lolani” She smiled hanging her head slightly down. “Well I uh gotta get to work” Damian shook his head “Cough oh yea me to” She laughed and walked out. Damian’s eyes following her till she was out of sight.
“Aloha how can I help you” getting back to work. “Withdrawal please” Click click click. “Here ya go a hui hou” “a hui hou.” Damian stares at the clock hours passing. Now 2 minutes till closing time. Tick tick tick. The little hand moves slower and slower taunting him. “What a sweet day huh little kea'ekahi?” The husky man says hugging his side. “Yea” Damian says uncomfortably. “Well see you tomorrow kea'ekahi” Damian nods and runs out the door.

July 11, 2000: KNOCK KNOCK! Damian squints looking at his clock. 12:30. He sluggishly hangs his head and gets up from the futon.  Fixes his boxers and opens the door “Heelloo” Squinting hard as the bright light hits his face. Lolani laughs “Did you just get up?” Damian wakes up “Lolani!?” he shakes his head. She looks at him funny “Yea…” “Hang on a sec” he closes the door and runs into his small bathroom. “Umm ok” she giggles. Damian quickly scrubs up brushes his hair and throws on some pants.  He runs to the door tripping over empty energy drink bottles. He swings the door open “Hai”. She laughs looking at his chest. A tattoo of a black dragon swirled around his right nipple. “I didn’t know you had a tattoo” she says. He laughs “That’s cause we’ve known each other for a day remember” She giggles “yea.” He stares into her eyes. “So what brings you here?” “Oh I wanted to know if you wanted to go spend the day on the beach. Sense I know your new here and all” She nervously smiles. “Wow that sounds great lets go” He shuts the door. She smiles wide “Cool Race ya” She poked his side and ran down the stairs towards the beach. He chased her to the shore the picked her up and swirled her around. Both laughing he says “Your it.” After putting her down she hits him in the arm “So kea'ekahi...” He cuts her off again “I’m sorry but what does that even mean?” She laughs “It means white one” He starts to laugh “Oh great thanks Mr. Aloha” rolling his eyes. She giggles well as I was saying “Do you surf?” His Eyes open wide he nervously stutters “Um not really” She picks up to boards and tosses him one. “Well your gunna learn” She runs into the water lays on her board and looks back. Swaying her hands “over here.” He sighs and follows her into the water. The hours passed as the rode the waves and chased each other along the beach. As the sun started to set bringing there day to an end they strolled along the shore. They laughed and shared stories. The sun was almost set and the moon was beginning to rise. They lied on a picnic cloth watching the waves turn. Damian crotched over her staring at her eyes “Wow” She looked at him giggling “What?” He stared at her closer “Are your eyes…purple” She nodded “I was born that way weird huh?” he shakes his head “No it’s really beaut…cool” She laughs “Thanks.”
